Another new technology we offer our patients is the DRX-9000 Spinal Decompression System. It was designed to improve the quality of life for those suffering from herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, and other back ailments.

Below is a plan of care for our DRX-9000 patients:

DRX-9000: LUMBAR PLAN OF CARE

Patient is admitted for care with a prescription after diagnostic work up which includes:

  1. Orthopedic evaluation and examination
  2. X-rays performed while standing
  3. MRI or CT Scan
  4. Consultation with one of the doctors

Plan of care will include:

20 decompression sessions
10 additional core strengthening sessions

First 2 weeks: Daily treatment on the DRX-9000
Third and Fourth weeks: 3 days a week
Fifth and Sixth weeks: 2 days a week
Seventh through Tenth weeks: Additional core strengthening

 

Strengthening component of plan of care includes:

  1. Neuromuscular re-education
  2. Proprioceptive training
  3. Flexibility training and instruction
  4. Use of the floating lumbar decompression chair if necessary
  5. Neurocare electrical stimulation for training or retraining the muscles

 

DRX-9000: CERVICAL PLAN OF CARE

Patient is admitted for care with a prescription after diagnostic work up which includes:

  1. Orthopedic evaluation and examination
  2. X-rays performed while standing
  3. MRI or Ct Scan
  4. Consultation with one of the doctors

Plan of care will include:

20 decompression sessions
10 additional strengthening sessions

 

First week: Daily on the DRX-9000
Second Through Fifth week: 3 decompression sessions a week
10 additional strengthening the neck muscles
